A really unique find.
Early Daniel Roth watches, made by the watchmaker himself, are extremely rare. The atelier did not produce a whole lot of watches at all, and Daniel Roth is widely considered the father of independent watchmaking. (A google search will give you a lot more information than I can fit here – and more eloquently too).
The watch we have here is in pristine condition with literally very little wear. It comes from the original owner who received it as a retirement gift from his boss (a prominent Australian businessman) after many years of loyal work. He rarely wore it, and treasured it greatly.
It is in steel, in the classic double ellipse shape created by Roth, and has the most exquisite salmon coloured guilloche dial. The case back is closed and signed (Numero xx).
It comes with absolutely everything; the original box, papers and hangtags, and the watch still retains the original Daniel Roth leather band with deployant buckle. There is also a letter from the AD to the original owner at the time of purchase.
This is likely a unique watch, it is the only such combination we could find (this would fit with the low production numbers of these watches.)
